As a mom, I know how hard it is to shop for clothes for your kids in the Harrisonburg area.  I’m so excited to partner with and share about the opening of a new children’s boutique in the downtown area THIS summer!!  Meet the owner and curator of Asdelia Mae Boutique, Jenna Cauchi, and discover more about the new shop!

Tell me about Asdelia Mae Boutique and when it’s scheduled to open.

Asdelia Mae Boutique is a specialty children’s clothing boutique that celebrates the journey of a child and family as they grow together though life’s everyday moments.

We honor the process of investing in special pieces, helping families create lasting memories. Currently, the store is scheduled to open Summer 2023 and will quickly become your favorite neighborhood boutique for your littles!

Tell me about what specific boutique items Asdelia Mae will offer and how they benefits mothers and their young families.

We will carry hand selected, upscale clothing that focuses not just on major life events, but for the everyday, because the journey is just as important as the destination.

As a mom of two active and playful children myself, I know the importance of both quality and comfort. I have spent time researching and curating many speciality pieces for babies and children that will capture both special occasions and everyday moments that hold lasting impressions.  The spirit of Asdelia Mae Boutique is to celebrate your child’s milestones by offering timeless, classic pieces, as well as those suited for practical play to keep our littles stylish in all seasons.

Where will you be located?

You can find Asdelia Mae Boutique in the newly renovated building, Liberty Street Mercantile, across the street from Magpie Diner. The building will represent a shared space for other locally owned shops, a wine bar and coffee shop, as well as a sizable event space.

How many years of experience do you have? What led you to open Asdelia Mae?

My love for children’s clothing is my passion and I look forward to sharing it with the community as a business owner looking to fill a need in our community.

I am a former elementary school teacher with almost a decade of experience who made the difficult decision to become a stay at home mom after having my second child. I began this journey by reselling my own children’s clothing to build capital and source the beautiful pieces you see in Asdelia Mae Boutique. I then started consigning for other mothers locally through social media platforms.

What can a client expect from their first experience at your shop?

Asdelia Mae Boutique will quickly become your favorite neighborhood store!

You will find clothing that will mean so much more than big chain stores because you are investing in creating memories that lasts a lifetime. The building will be a friendly family place to explore and engage with other local businesses, but also provide an avenue for community engagement by hosting multiple, family-centered events throughout the year.

Do you have any upcoming promotions or events?

As we wait for our Grand Opening, you can still shop a little bit of what Asdelia Mae has to offer at our Spring Pop Up Event. Come out April 1 & 2 from 9am – 2pm at The Perch next to Magpie Diner. Follow our socials on Instagram @asdeliamaeboutique, and Facebook to get up to date information about the store. Website is in progress but be sure to subscribe to our mailing list for insider news, new arrivals, events and more!

There will be 2 other pop up opportunities this Spring if you can’t make it this weekend:
1. April 30: The Skirt Project’s Brunch with Beauties Event at Massanutten Creek. 10:30-3PM
2. May 6 & 7: Spring Pop Up at the Perch/Magpie. 9am-2pm

I cannot express how excited I am to be able to share my passion with the local community and look forward to being a part of people’s lives. Every time I see one of my curated pieces on one of your littles, I am full of joy and humbled that you trusted me to help create that memory.
